Meet Kelly Luna

Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Founder, Heffron Health & Wellness

I’m Kelly Luna, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and founder of Heffron Health & Wellness.

I believe good psychiatric care starts with understanding the person, not just a list of symptoms. My approach is direct, collaborative, and individualized, with room for honest conversations about what is actually happening in your life.

My experience spans outpatient psychiatry, crisis care, inpatient settings, and skilled nursing facilities. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults with concerns including ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, neurodivergence, and complex psychiatric needs.

Together, we’ll look beyond the diagnosis to understand what you’re experiencing, what matters to you, and what treatment approach makes sense for your life.

You deserve more than a five-minute conversation and a prescription.

Good psychiatric care means understanding the whole picture, asking the right questions, and making decisions together.

Psychiatry without an assembly line.

Mental health care should not feel rushed, generic, or reduced to a checklist. I take the time to understand what you’re experiencing, what has and hasn’t worked before, and what matters to you.

Treatment is collaborative. I’ll explain what I’m seeing, discuss your options, answer your questions, and work with you to create a plan that makes sense for your life.

What you can expect from me.

Straight answers. Thoughtful care. No judgment.

You’ll get honest conversations about symptoms, diagnoses, medications, risks, benefits, and treatment options. I’ll tell you what I think and why, while making sure you have a voice in the decisions we make.

Treatment may evolve as we learn more about what works for you. The goal isn’t simply to prescribe medication or check boxes. It’s to help you understand your mental health and build a treatment plan that supports meaningful improvement in your everyday life.

My role.

My role isn’t to tell you who you are.

It’s to bring clinical knowledge, ask the questions that matter, and help make sense of what may be happening.

Your role isn’t to be the “perfect patient.”

Bring the messy parts, the questions, the doubts, and the things that haven’t worked before. That information matters too.

Experience that informs the care.

Psychiatric care looks different at different stages of life and in different settings. My clinical experience gives me a broad perspective on both routine and complex mental health needs.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you get here.

You don’t need to know exactly what’s going on or have the perfect words to describe what you’re experiencing. You don’t even have to know what treatment you need before making an appointment.

That’s part of my job.

Come as you are. We’ll start with what’s happening now, talk through what matters, and figure out the next steps together.

Ready to see if we’re a good fit?

Whether you’re looking for an evaluation, medication management, therapy, or a combination of services, the next step is simple.
