Starting psychiatric care can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re already dealing with symptoms, stress, or uncertainty about what you need.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before your first appointment.

We’ll start with what’s happening now, review your history and concerns, and work together to determine what makes sense next.

Before your first appointment.

A little preparation helps us spend more of your appointment talking about you and less time hunting for information.

  • Complete your new patient paperwork

  • Upload your insurance information and photo ID

  • Add a valid payment method to the patient portal

  • Have a current medication list available

  • Include medications you’ve tried previously, if you remember them

  • Gather relevant medical, psychiatric, or testing records you would like reviewed

What to expect at your first appointment?

Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and how those concerns are affecting your everyday life.

We’ll review your psychiatric and medical history, medications, sleep, mood, attention, relationships, stressors, and other factors that may help us understand the bigger picture.

You don’t need to know your diagnosis or arrive with the perfect explanation. Figuring out what may be happening is part of the evaluation.
